DWC Proposed Credit Requirement Increase
In April 2021, the DWC proposed an increase to the requirements to be appointed as a Qualified Medical Examiner along with an increase for the number of continuing education credits needed for QMEs to keep their appointment. The 4-hour proposed increase would include anti-bias training as well as in-person training.
Currently, the regulations require 12 credit hours. The proposed increase would make it 16 credit hours.
Whatever the result of the proposal, Teach CE has you covered with both distance learning and live courses (coming soon).
